Lung Cancer Screening
Lung cancer is the leading malignant tumor with the highest morbidity and mortality rates worldwide. The annual rate of death from lung cancer has reached 1.4 million, accounting for 18% among all cancer-related deaths. Annually the number of new cases of lung cancer will be close to 1 million by 2025 in China.
Few clinical features can be found in the early stages of lung cancer. 75% of lung cancer patients are diagnosed in the late stage with a 5-year survival rate of 15.6%. This is mainly due to insufficient screening and inability to identify diseased pulmonary nodules. Therefore, early diagnosis and effective treatment are the critical factors to improving survival rates.
Airdoc has developed cutting edge deep-learning-based algorithms to detect, locate and compute the size of the pulmonary nodules, as well as other malignant indicators of pulmonary nodules.
